Internationally Educated Midwives (IEM) at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) recently held a tea trolley session highlighting the experiences of life as an IEM at the OUH.
The tea trolley visited each ward where home made cakes were shared, along with messages from the IEMs. The IEMs were joined by members of the OUH Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team.
The OUH supports IEMs through an adapted preceptorship programme along with pastoral support. IEMs are valued members of the OUH team and bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and rich diversity to maternity services which enhances the patient experience.
