The Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) is here to listen to your voice and work together with their individual Trusts to improve local maternity and neonatal services. We are a nationwide organisation commissioned by the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS). We stand as an independent NHS working group made up of a core team, engagement leads and parent reps. Anyone who has experienced care can join the partnership and help drive positive change.

In Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and West Berkshire (BOB) we have three MNVPs, each working with their local maternity units and birth centres

Buckinghamshire MNVP: Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Wycombe Birth Centre, Buckingham Community Hospital, Amersham Hospital.

Oxfordshire MNVP: John Radcliffe Hospital, Horton Midwifery-led Unit, Cotswold Birth Centre, Wantage Maternity Unit and Wallingford Maternity and Birthing Centre.

Royal Berkshire MNVP: Royal Berkshire Hospital, including Rushey Midwifery-Led Unit and RBH Homebirth Team

We listen to all voices within our communities, from online surveys to in-person feedback sessions. MNVPs have been established within BOB for many years with strong relationships within the hospitals and, vitally, within our communities.  We want to hear about your experiences throughout your journey and are working hard to include the voices of those with the poorest outcomes, bereaved families and more recently, have expanded our reach to hear from those navigating a neonatal journey.

From the feedback we identify trends and work with our advocates within the hospital to make positive change happen. We also represent your voices and ensure that the service user is at the heart of all conversations from the smallest leaflet right through to strategic planning at Board Level. Your local MNVP is involved in conversations about all aspects of maternity care. We challenge, contribute to, and influence decisions, based on the feedback you share and from our learnings as a critical friend to the service.

Please note we have a separate page which shows all the communities we work with – click on the link to access these organisations and their advice, support and projects.

There is a number of organisations across BOB and nationally providing advice support and few community-based services in relation to maternity, neonates and Women’s Health. Our networks are expanding (we will add more in 24 – 25 but these are the bulk of them), see below following organisations
